The "Outbox" Trap
If you send an email and it vanishes, check the Outbox.
- Sent: Means it left your device.
- Outbox: Means it is STUCK on your device (usually because an attachment is too large).
- Drafts: Means you never hit send.
If an email is stuck in the Outbox, delete it. A stuck email acts like a cork in a bottle, preventing all future emails from being sent too.
Phishing Attacks
Email is the #1 way hackers get into your life.
- The Scam: An email says "Your Amazon account is locked" or "Receipt for $500".
- The Test: Look at the sender's email address (e.g.,
support@amazon-security-update-22.comis FAKE). - The Rule: Never click links in emails. Go to Amazon.com manually and check your orders there.
Pro Tip: If you use Outlook/Hotmail, your password is the same as your Microsoft Account password. If you change one, you change the other!
